Campus Tour Breakouts
These tours involve varied amounts of walking and limited opportunities to sit down, which may be difficult for those who have limited mobility. Each tour will take the full 90 minutes.
Tour Options:
Option 1: iExcel in the Dr. Edwin G. & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center and the Wigton Heritage Center.
iExcel showcases high-fidelity simulation and experiential learning technologies and the Wigton Heritage Center features UNMC history exhibits.
Option 2: The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and the Chihuly Sanctuary
The Chihuly Sanctuary features 10 site-specific art installations and offers a place of respite and reflection for patients receiving treatment at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
Option 3: Campus Walking Tour
The walking tour will see various campus locations such as the renovated McGoogan Health Sciences Library, campus artwork, the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit, and more.
Welcome Back Lunch
The lunch program will include:
- Remarks from UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD
- A feature presentation: “AI That Cares for Everybody.” Presented by John R. Windle, MD, Founding Director-Center for Intelligent Health Care, Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Richard and Mary Holland Presidential Chair of Cardiovascular Science
Afternoon Activities for Nurses
Attendees will have multiple options for afternoon programming. If you would like to complete an oral history, please select that option. If you do not want to complete an oral history, please indicate if you are interested in browsing the College of Nursing Special Collections and Archives, or if you would prefer to have time for mingling and conversation. You may change your mind that day, but this helps us for planning purposes.

- Time for Mingling and Conversation Truhlsen Campus Events Center, 1st level, Michael F. Sorrell Center for Health Science Education.
- Oral History Video Taping for Alumni Rare Book Room, 8th level, McGoogan Health Sciences Library The McGoogan Library invites nursing alumni to share a brief story or memory from their time at UNMC. By preserving the history of our people, programs, and experiences, these reflections help inform and inspire present and future generations.
- Browsing College of Nursing Special Collections and Archives McGoogan Health Sciences Library
Tour of the College of Medicine
Alumni and guests will be split into small groups. Medical students will answer questions and discuss their educational experience at UNMC while providing a tour of the College of Medicine building.
Tour of the College of Pharmacy
Pharmacy students will answer questions and share about their educational experience at UNMC while providing a tour of the new College of Pharmacy building, which opened in 2016.
Dean's Reception with Brad Britigan, MD
This session will include a state-of-the-college update and recognize the 2026 award recipients and the class of 1976 on their 50th reunion. Following this, the Dean will host a reception and light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.
Dean's Reception with Don Klepser, PhD
This session will include a state-of-the-college update and recognize the class of 1976 on their 50th reunion. Following this, the Dean will host a reception in the atrium, where light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.
Dean's Reception with Lepaine Sharp-McHenry, DNP
This session will include a state-of-the-college update and recognize the 2026 award recipients and the class of 1976 on their 50th reunion. Following this, the Dean will host a reception in the commons area, where light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.
College of Medicine - 1966 Class Party
A dinner reservation will be made based on class interest. More details to come.
College of Nursing - 1966 BSN Class Party
On Friday or Saturday, September 18-19, based on the preference of registrants, a dinner reservation will be made, and attendees will pay on their own that day.
College of Medicine - 1971 Class Party
The class party cost is $75/person, which includes a three course meal and drinks.
College of Pharmacy - 1981 Class Party
The class party cost is $25/person for heavy appetizers. A cash bar will be available.
College of Medicine - 2001 Class Party (Friday)
Attendees will pay for bowling, food and drinks on their own that night.
College of Nursing - 1971 BSN Class Party
A dinner reservation will be made and the location will be shared with registrants. Order off the menu; pay on your own that day.
College of Nursing - 1976 ADN Class Party
On Friday or Saturday, September 18-19, based on the preference of registrants, a dinner reservation will be made, and attendees will pay on their own that day. More information will be shared.
College of Pharmacy - 1976 Class Party
The class party cost is $25/person for dinner. A cash bar will be available.
College of Medicine - 1980/1981 Class Party
Please note that as of July 23rd, the class party will now be on Friday, September 18th instead of Saturday, September 19th as originally promoted.
The class party cost is $25/person for food and drinks. Dr. Drake's address will be shared with registrants in their confirmation email.
College of Pharmacy - 2001 Class Party
$25/person for dinner. Cash bar available.

$25/person for heavy appetizers. Cash bar available.

The class party cost is $125/person for reception, dinner, dessert and beverages.
College of Medicine - 1986 Class Party
The class party cost is $50/person for soup, salad, dinner and dessert. A cash bar will be available.

The class party cost is $25/person for heavy appetizers and dessert. A cash bar will be available.

The class party cost is $50/person for heavy appetizers and dessert. A cash bar will be available.

The class party cost is $40/person for a dinner buffet. A cash bar will be available.
